Tarrant County Republicans are watching a party take-over by Democrats in real time. In one of Texas’s largest conservative counties, a wave of Democrats running as Republicans have donor lists and voting records that reveal deep, alarming ties to the radical Democrat agenda.
This is more than just a few political missteps; many observers see this as a calculated effort to place Democrat loyalists onto conservative judicial benches under false pretenses. This blatant ideological maneuvering is an insult to every conservative voter in Tarrant County.
The Hypocrisy and Compromised Judgment of a Sanctioned Judge
The most stunning example of questionable judgment involves the 360th District Court. Sitting Republican Judge Patricia Bennett has already faced public criticism, including a sanction from the Judicial Ethics Commission for racist behavior. Her fitness for the bench is already under scrutiny. Yet, her most recent major decision—the hiring of Craig Jackson as her associate judge—further compounds the issue.
Mr. Jackson, now seeking a judgeship as a Republican, has a documented history of financially supporting highly partisan Democrats. He donated to Dallas Democrat Judge Kim Cooks, who was sanctioned for unethical conduct, and, notably, to Judge Mary Brown, the infamous jurist who ordered an 8-year-old child to be transported to California for gender reassignment surgery. What’s even crazier is that Craig Jackson was one of the attorneys for Jeff Younger who lost his battle to save his son from genital mutilation. Read it again. Craig Jackson represented Jeff Younger in his fight to save his son from gender reassignment surgery. Younger lost the case in Judge Brown’s court. After the case was over, Craig Jackson DONATED to Judge Mary Brown.
How can a Republican judge, who claims to uphold core conservative family values, appoint an associate judge who actively fundraised for judicial activists promoting such a radical agenda? Judge Bennett’s decision to entrust judicial power to a man who bankrolled a campaign that attacked fundamental parental rights is hypocrisy in its purest form. Her moral compass is clearly compromised, allowing a known Democrat sympathizer to make crucial judicial decisions on her behalf.
The ‘Teel Team’: Democrats in GOP Clothing
The scandal extends across the primary field as observers examine the donor records of other candidates. A significant number of these self-proclaimed Republicans contributed financially to a single, highly polarizing Democrat: James Teel.
This support is seen as particularly egregious because James Teel was the Democrat opponent of the immensely popular and genuinely conservative Judge Alex Kim. Funding Teel was not a neutral act; it was a clear endorsement of the Democrat effort to prevent a strong conservative from taking the bench. Yet, the following candidates financially supported the liberal challenger:
Katherine Allen donated to Democrat candidate James Teel and also voted in the Democrat primary in 2020.
Katherine Allen’s voting record. Leslie Barrows also contributed funds to Democrat James Teel and disgraced Texas State Rep. Giovanni Capriglione.
Norma Bazan donated twice to Democrat James Teel and has a public record showing a history of voting in a Democrat Primary.
These candidates are now attempting to earn the trust of the very Republican voters whose party they previously tried to undermine. Their financial support of a liberal challenger to a conservative raises a significant and undeniable red flag regarding their true loyalties.

The pattern is stark and undeniable. From a sanctioned sitting judge who elevates a Democrat donor, to a slate of candidates who bankrolled a liberal challenger, the Tarrant County GOP judicial primary is facing an unprecedented threat of Democrat infiltration. Democrats understand they can’t win in a Tarrant County General Election, so the way they take benches is to run as Republicans. This isn’t new. What’s new is that the Democrat Party couldn’t find candidates to run who don’t have verifiable Democrat donation and voting history. These candidates appear to be hoping that by simply using the Republican label, they can slip onto the conservative courts and begin legislating liberal policy from the bench.
Oh but isn't this part of the GOP BIG TENT that they foisted on Texas??? The war is very much alive and has been for many years to destroy the Conservative Base of Texas, The base I usually refer to as the conscience of the Republican Party. My ex horny State Rep Capriglione was rumored to have been a DemocRAT in California who voted for Pelosi. Governor Rick Perry was Al Gore's campaign manager for Texas in 1988/89. He became Republican because DemocRATS have a hard time getting elected in Texas These are the so called Republicans we later come to know as RINOS (Republican In Name Only) and it is thru sure laziness on the part of the voters to dig and find out about these losers. One way for folks to do it is to look up their donations to or from on the Texas Ethics Commission Website. Go perform your due diligence folks because your kids and grandkids will eventually pay the price for this laziness.

The Craig Jackson case is the most damning becasue it shows how operatinal hypocrisy works at the individual level when someone represents a client fighting gender reassignment, loses in a judge's court, then donates to that same judge afterwards. That kind of pattern isnt just strategic repositioning, its a direct signal about where actual allegiances lie regardless of party lable.
