Texas Bill Passes Requring P*rn Websites to Verify Age
Texas children to get more protection from grooming and p*rn.
The 88th Legislative Session has missed the mark on many key issues. However, one issue has made significant progress in the right direction with the passage of multiple bills protecting children from sexualization and grooming.
HB1181, also called “Pornography Protection for Minors” will be sent to Governor Abbott’s desk in the coming days to be signed into law. The bill requires commercial entities that knowingly and intentionally publish or distribute sexual material to perform age verification.
The new civil code will apply whenever a website’s content consists of 33% or more sexually explicit material—basically, porn sites.
It also requires a notice be displayed on the landing pages of these pornographic websites.
Even better, the penalties for violating this law will be a minimum of $10,000 per day or per instance!
Discussion of the bill was hilarious. American Principles Project, who successfully lobbied the bill, even had senators discussing hentai on the floor of the Senate Committee on State Affairs.
Other states, such as Utah, have passed similar bills to protect children and public health. In response, porn sites like PornHub have retaliated by blocking Utah IP addresses and making their websites unavailable to most internet users in the state.

SALT LAKE CITY — PornHub has blocked access to users from Utah that wish to view their content.
In a video message displayed on the site, a spokeswoman for PornHub said that legislative action taken during the 2023 Utah Legislative Session has prompted the company to block access to Utahns.
“Giving your ID card every time you want to visit an adult platform is not the most effective solution for protecting our users,” the spokeswoman said.
Haha!
Hey Pornhub, I’ve got a message for you:
PornHub even had the audacity to claim age verification was more harmful to children.
This is a huge win for Texans and Texan children specifically.
A big thanks to Represenatiaves Shaheen, Schatzline, Collier, Ordaz, Patterson, and Senator Angela Paxton.
Coomers about to rage quit on Texas!
