Candidate Says she raised over $1,000 anyway
Sara McGee, Texas Candidate for HD132, announced she had caught the explosive diarrhea parasite known as cyclospora cayetanensis and was fundraising $5,000 to tell people about her experience.
“Oh, and it’s good. Like Amazon review good.” said McGee regarding the story about her experience with the parasite.
But by Sunday the fundraiser had been shut down, first noticed by X user KarnifexMaximus:
McGee told Current Revolt she shut down the fundraiser due to harassment by a “certain Republican agitator” but that the campaign had raised over $1,000 before she took the post down.
The FDA announced that Taylor Farms, the lettuce supplier for Taco Bell, was not the source of the explosive diarrhea parasite meaning everyone is safe to eat Taco Bell again.
The FDA is walking back its initial claims that a Taco Bell lettuce supplier is responsible for sickening hundreds of Americans with explosive diarrhea, saying the original test results were a “false positive.”
The stunning reversal comes after the agency double-checked a lettuce sample, which found that the leafy green supplied by Taylor Farms de Mexico did not have traces of Cyclospora – the parasite that causes the crappy condition.
