The Price of Ammo is Too Damn High!
The 88th legislature has been full of ridiculous stuff, it always is, but this time one group got a lot of specific attention…the ladies. Texas Reps are either tripping over themselves to protect boring girls' sports from the trans invasion or to give them tax-free tampons (trans included!). But you know what? It’s about time the Texas Legislature did something for the boys!
We have just the thing…
Legislation to exempt guns, ammunition, diapers, and feminine hygiene products from sales tax is moving forward in the Missouri Capitol.
It was a deal between political parties to approve the two tax cuts. Senate Democrats would not filibuster the legislation to exempt firearms and ammunition from sales tax as long as they could get a clean tax cut bill on diapers and feminine hygiene products.
This is what we call “common-sense”legislation.
These Missouri reps are savvy (and fully loaded) and they are using the leftist's penchant for special interest carve-outs and marrying them to right-wing policies and legislation.
It’s a brilliant move.
The open leftist can’t oppose it without getting blasted by their base, the crypto-leftist can’t oppose it because they’d be outed as the scum they are and the GOP can take a “win” on some vague pro-family grounds.
But the real winners are the bros.
I don’t know how many times I’ve been at the range with the fellas only to have the good times (and good beverages) cut short because ammo is too expensive.
So we are calling on Texas Legislature to rectify this situation.
Texas Republicans wouldn’t even have to broker a deal, as they did in Missouri, because Republicans already have all the power; now they just have to do something with it.
We say, let the bullets (and tampons) flow freely!
