UPDATE: Republicans Pass LBGT Valentine’s Resolution w/ Slightly Less Support
Conservatives lose with dignity.
PREVIOUSLY: Texas House Dedicates Valentine’s Day to Homosexuals
The Texas Legislature allows lawmakers to change their votes after a measure passes or fails, and they appear to have done that with their recent resolution to dedicate Valentine’s Day to spreading homosexuality.
It’s bizarre that you would be allowed to change your vote after you know the results, but this procedural trick is low on our list of concerns with this current crop of politicians.
It’s not totally clear they pulled the old switcharoo here, but the journal was updated with a bunch of Republicans voting no.
Bryan Slaton did a video where he said they didn’t really have a choice to vote no, which leads me to believe they changed it after the fact.
Tinderholt says he made it happen.
Even so, it would have passed on its own 95 - 54.
Does passing with a *few* less votes mean it’s a little less gay?
Not really. To the extent the Republicans who voted “yes” will show their face in public, they will just lie about this when confronted. Understand, this is like if Democrats voted to congratulate the Confederate Generals. It’s totally bonkers.
Conservatives will go along with anything. We need right-wingers. Maybe center-right. No more left-wing stuff in Texas.
It's hilarious how Texas Legislators are not required to keep a record of how they vote.

Add that to the fact our Voting Machines run on proprietary, closed-source software nobody can audit, and the whole thing is revealed to be an absurd farce Citizens should be ashamed for legitimizing with participation.
