VIDEO: Talarico Walks Back Statements About God and Gender
The candidate swears he’s normal now.
James Talarico, the Democrats’ candidate for US Senate from Texas, used a CBS News video interview to walk back his earlier claim that God is transgender. The interviewer notes that in 2021 Talarico stated that God was “non binary.” He said he’d been “intentionally provocative,” which reads a lot like ‘mocking God.’
Clearly provoking Christians seems odd for a Presbyterian seminarian.
The interviewer goes on to ask if Talarico regrets describing or talking about God in that way. Talarico replies that he has made statements that he “regrets and have missed the mark” and admits he’s made “cringy” comments.
The interviewer also asks about a Talarico’s previous statements about there being six genders. Talarico responds by saying he knows there’s two genders and says the rest are “abnormalities.”
Talarico faces a runoff against Ken Paxton for Senate in November.
On Kalshi’s prediction market for the Texas Senate spot, Paxton is favored to win:

Talarico is repugnant.
