VIDEOS: Talarcio Says He Hates Christianity. RPT is $500k in the Hole
What a mess.
We have two videos this morning. One where the Democratic nominee for Texas Senate says he hates Christianity and another where the new chair of the Republican Party of Texas says the party convention account is $500k in the red.
James Talarico:

In a video posted by the RNC Research X account, Democratic nominee for Texas Senate James Talarico says he hates Christianity.
“I always think of myself as a christian who hates Christianity and I always get drawn back into it.
This is especially odd considering Talarico is a Presbyterian seminarian studying to become a minister.
Not sure how well this line will play in Texas.
Republican Party of Texas Funds are “Shockingly Low”
In a X Space (broadcast) last night, new Republican Party of Texas (RPT) chair D’Rinda Randall says the RPT funds are “shockingly low”
Randall gets specific and says that the convention account is “$500,000 in the hole” (5:30 mark)
(4:25 mark) Randall also informs listeners that Governor Abbott had paid for three RPT employees under George’s term as chairman.
These statements by Randall would contradict former RPT chairman Abraham George’s claim that the convention had “zero debt.”

I think many of us grumbled to ourselves when we saw the $100 registration fee. Are Texans more submissive, or are Michiganders just poor?
There is an easy escape for Talarico: "it's a relationship, not a religion", which I have often heard Evangelicals say, but that won't stop Republicans from putting this line in every ad.
