How did we get here?
Texas has a state-sanctioned affirmative action program called the Statewide Procurement Division Historically Underutilized Business (HUB).
State entities are required to solicit business from companies on the HUB list when spending exceeds a certain threshold. Typically this amount is just a few thousand dollars.
If you started a new business tomorrow, would your business be “historically underutilized?” Well, that depends on your genitals and your skin color.
A sizable majority of the population qualifies for the program — women and non-whites.
That only leaves 1 group excluded!
Texas is very conservative!
Anyone remember that Minority woman contracted to build a bridge in some city and that bridge collapsed killing many people??? All of this affirmative action bullcrap is making me actually avoid businesses pushing this pablum and vote against any politician spewing this garbage. TV commercials are the same. Cable shows that start out pretty good and you begin enjoying them and all of a sudden here comes the lesbo couplet or gaytard or the blends ad nauseum..
