The border is still open and the children are still being groomed for sex by Democrats, but all is not lost. The spirit of Texas is still alive and kicking. Some might say we are coming back.
After locking down the state and closing everyone’s businesses in 2020-2021, this year saw the Texas Legislature left to decide how to spend a record tax surplus made possible by Covid stimulus dollars trickling up from the quarantined peasants. Squabbling over how to spend this loot defined the 88th session, which led to many critical issues remaining unresolved and important legislation failing to pass into law.
The state spends tens of billions of dollars every year on dealing with illegal immigrants. Much of this money goes to things such as educating these foreigner’s children in our “free” public schools, and driving up the demand (and therefore the price) of subsidized healthcare. We are talking about billions and billions of dollars.
Billions are also spent on a fake “border security” program, which has not slowed the ongoing invasion in the slightest.
In fact, no border security bill was passed this session. The fake border security bill, HB7, fizzled out as the regular session closed.
Property tax relief also fizzled out. But what can you expect? They need those dollars to keep the illegal aliens sheltered and fed, and their children educated in shiny new buildings.
Here is a highlight reel of the 88th session which helps explain why such issues were not addressed and how “Democrats have total control of the House chamber.”
We did get some wins though. Wins and items of note this session:
SB14 - Banned sexual gender-swapping experimentation on children by cutting off funding. Kids must now wait until they are 18 to to have their sexual fetishes fulfilled and have it subsidized by insurance.
SB12 - bans under 18 from drag shows. Probably the best thing that happened this session.
SB15 - the Feminist Supremacy in Sports Act, allows women to compete in men’s sports while banning men from competing in women’s sports. Very cool!
HB900 - bans smut books in schools.
SB1900 – a total hoax bill that puts the word “foreign terrorist organization” next to the word “criminal street gang” in various civil codes and criminal procedures. Appears to do literally nothing, meanwhile the border is still open to gangs and terrorists alike.
Some wins, some losses, lots of hoaxes, and many questions.
How many special sessions do you think Governor Abbott is going to call?
Are endless special sessions another tactic used by the establishment to make it impossible to hold a real job and serve in the legislature?
Are the Texit people going to spam everyone’s twitter replies until Texas gains its independence? Is spamming everyone really a viable strategy?
So many questions. Strap in and strap on, the fun is just getting started.
The culture/media/bureaucracy de facto creates thousands of pseudo laws every year. This session in Texas, the political class stuck their fingers in two or three holes of our sinking ship, probably created a couple dozen and intentionally ignored decades worth of prior damage.
Our "wins" today are so absurd on their face that we would have scoffed at the idea of calling them wins five to ten years ago. Ten years ago, we would have said that law already exists to throw child butchers in prison; because it did. The law also already existed for penalizing adults pushing smut on children.
Even the Republicans are wicked and evil, most are all just a bunch of Rinos. Leach killed the only bill to make abortion illegal in texas.
