Accused Vote Fraudster Now Caught Smuggling Illegals–in Government Vehicles!
Will Dade Phelan appoint her to chair a committee?
This is a story from December that we just never got around to covering. (Too busy reading the Bible and getting ready for Christmas.)
Starr County District Attorney Gocha Allen Ramirez has fired his crime victims coordinator after she was arrested in an alleged scheme to smuggle people into the country in a county vehicle, according to a news release.
Ramirez said Bernice Garza was arrested following an investigation by his office, Homeland Security Investigations and the Texas Rangers.
This is apparently the same woman who was arrested in 2019 for voting on behalf of dead people in the 2016 Democratic primary.

During the 2018 investigation into her zombie voting, she was terminated as the head of the Crime Victims Unit after she had a political disagreement with her boss, District Attorney Omar Escobar. Based on the timeline, one could assume this is the same boss whom she ballot harvested to victory just two years earlier in a close Democratic Primary race.
She must’ve been a damn good dead vote harvester, because when it came out she was going to support her sister for County Judge, a move her boss did not approve of, he retaliated bigly and eventually fired her.
Dead people are truly the Democrat’s silent majority.
Details of the case reveal how she was barely working but continued to draw higher and higher pay, and apparently started taking some kind of prescription pills to deal with the stress.
Despite the vote fraud charges being a felony (which Dade Phelan and the Republicans changed to a misdemeanor in 2021) the charges were dropped!
After some investigation, it was apparently obvious that Garza was targeted by Escobar who knew she was a dirty vote fraudster, but since it was a case of 360 corruption, the AG decided it was best to do nothing?
The Attorney General’s office said this about the case according to El Tejano:
Oh, ok. Very cool!
When her former boss Escobar was ballot harvested out of office in 2020, Garza rejoined the county as a liaison in the crime victims unit where she had access to a government vehicle. Along with others, Garza allegedly helped smuggle very honest and trustworthy people across the border illegally.
The random illegals were then dumped in Houston where they were free to become juggers, porch pirates, or start their own business as human smuggling entrepreneurs.
Unfortunately for Garza, the new Starr County DA is a Republican and he appears to have tipped off law enforcement to her smuggling side-hustle.
Garza appears to still be on pills as her appearance has changed drastically. She’s even got that IDGAF drug cartel sneer.
In the early days of CR, we wrote that Mexican cartels would soon be controlling the elections in south Texas. The cartels are actually non-partisan, and have a big tent welcoming atmosphere for their corruption.
How many of these local governments in south Texas are quarterbacking their own get-rich-quick human smuggling operation?
You wonder.
Even the partisan groups in south Texas are sus.
We need to educate the dead voters of this state and get them to start voting Republican.
Remember, if you get caught it’s only a misdemeanor now. So don’t sweat it. Just keep on voting.
Upfront clarification: illegal aliens should ALL be deported. Turn them away at the border.
Period. Full stop.
That said, I can't help but chuckle at the disgusting, glaring hypocrisy on display. When Joe Brandon relocates people by the thousands at taxpayer expense, via planes, trains, or automobiles (buses), it's totally legit. When Abbott or DeSantis or others do it, it's wrong because it's "just for political show."
But here we have someone, paid by taxpayers' dollars, who entrepreneurially created a side hustle, using their taxpayer-owned vehicle, to relocate illegals, made a crap-ton of money doing it, and it's criminal conduct. Now, don't get the impression I'm in favor of what they did. They're disgusting criminals who exploited the system and they deserve to rot in jail over it. I have to wonder, though, why should the people who illegally profited off the relocation of illegals be the only ones to deserve to rot in jail? Shouldn't ANYONE who relocates or allows illegals in be just as guilty?
Or is the only problem with it that they used a gubmint vehicle to do it? If that's the case, it's a pretty pathetic excuse for actual justice.
Every Republican who voted to reduce the penalty should be eliminated from ever holding office. They violated their oath of office. One has to jump to the next obvious conclusion which is how many of our fellow Republican Legislators along with their RAT counterparts would have faced those felony charges themselves for ballot harvesting and cheat machine complicity????? If Texans don't take this issue very seriously, we are all lost forever. Sad that so few seem to care about honest elections.
