I wish more people used public transportation but I also understand why they don't. Our city is so large and so spread out it only makes sense in smaller more compact areas of Dallas. And it wouldn't surprise me if when we DOGE Dallas, if we found fraud intermixed with the annual funding and losses of DART
It takes 23m from downtown carrollton station to DFW airport compared to 20m at the same time. That's very competitive and significantly cheaper at $3 vs ~$35 ride hail. Transit would come ahead when traffic is bad and driving would come slightly ahead when there is no traffic.
The council saying they are not served by rail is kind of insane though. Mockingbird and lovers are on the town border. If up pulls out those stations stay open. Being free riders on the system is worse.
Also that's not how you path find with public transit on the map apps. Walking to terminal b taking 22 min isnt right. Dfw airport is really badly mapped for anything besides cars on google maps there is a walkway between the dart station and the terminal that is like walking from the parking lot to terminal. Thats an issue with dfwia and not dart though.
Also there is go link for the trip to trinity mills which is basically uber that included in your dart ticket. If you plan the rout through darts app and have the endpoint be the airport station you'll get a better estimate on the trip. Something like this and with the price of uber and airport parking it has some appeal 😂 https://imgur.com/Oie0YtK
