I was going through TEC finance reports, and found Richard Weekley (“real estate” listed as his profession) along with Charles Butt Public “Education” PAC donating thousands to our House rep.
Weekley’s site states he is the founder of Texans for Lawsuit Reform, in addition to being the brother of David Weekley Homes. So our rep got money from BOTH Texans for Lawsuit Reform and it’s founder 🙄
Meanwhile, our rep’s primary opponent said he would pass all contributions of that nature (that didn’t align with his principles) along, dollar for dollar, to the RPT. Oh well, spilled milk, I guess. Maybe for next primary people will be more awake to the interests the House REALLY serves: their own.
