We just left the Capitol and visited in Bryan Slaton‘s office with his staff members. Then we went to the house gallery and spoke with the sergeant of arms who confirmed that there were zero absences during the voting today. Looks like rumor dispelled.
I saw the votes and Slaton was indeed marked absent. Also his local news source ran the story that he was MIA for two days straight without a reason why. Looks like the rumor was validated by trusted authorities which includes Current Revolt.
I am offended that you don’t even know me and you’re calling me a liar. My colleagues and I were in their office and talked to two of the young staffers in his office. We even had a conversation about what candy/snacks they liked because we are going to bring them some snacks next week. They told us that we could go to the house gallery to see what was going on there.
Wow! Well I guess the Sargent at arms didn’t have her facts straight then because we went at around 11:20am to Slaton’s office (which the CR claimed was closed) and spoke for about 5 minutes with 2 of his staff members (please don’t tell me I dreamed this and didn’t really go into his office with 2 other friends of mine). Then we went to the gallery and asked the Sargent at Arms for the roll call. She told us no one was missing during the voting that morning. This was at 11:30am. So I am only reporting what I saw and was told in person at the Capitol that day. This whole experience with the CR has been very odd. I don’t plan to check back here anymore and will NOT be following your publication.
I can think of 2 names for the interns but I would not drop them.

Perhaps his staffer wasn't able and he had no one to run the office. Damn, I like y'all but lets wait until you get the facts and not spread rumors.
