This is a developing story. We have confirmed that Kaufman County GOP Chair, Coby Pritchett, has been terminated from his job at Texas Farm Bureau Insurance.
We called Pritchett for comment and all he said was we would need to talk to his new attorney, Rick Harrison.
This comes after Current Revolt launched an investigation into why a large amount of the Republican Party’s money had gone missing in a bank account that Pritchett controlled.
We will update as more information comes in…

Wonder if Kaitly, Blayne and Chelse were worth it.
Sorry about the word enamored. See correction.
This young man was enamered by the political powers that were his close advisors.. In my opinion he was getting terrible legal advice. He was promised power and financial assistance. You are -" WHO YOU SURROUND YOURSELF WITH!" The political world is full of wolves whose goal is Money & Power! It's a hard lesson to learn.
"This INVESTIGATION is not over!
Actually Pritchett did NOT have legitimate control over the party accounts. The county party has had this same bank account under two previous chairman. We have always had two signatures on all financial transactions. I do not know how Cody got access. All transactions using party funds are supposed to be approved by the Executive Committee before payment is authorized. I guess we have always been a CEC with ethics prior to this chairman. He also did not fire the treasurer because he did not have the authority to do so. In addition, Elizabeth Alvarez dos not and has never represented the Kaufman County Republican Party because the CEC was not consulted and it was not voted on. I know this because I AM a member of the CEC, as Precinct #24 Chairman. My term ends on the 20th day after the Run-off election, when the new biennium starts.
