BREAKING: Never-Trump Consultant is Finalist for TX GOP Exec. Director
Steinhauser was also the consultant for Dan Crenshaw and John Cornyn.
Brendan Steinhauser, former consultant for Neocon war hawk Dan Crenshaw and useless pea-brain Senator John Cornyn, is a finalist candidate for Executive Director of the Republican Party of Texas.
The position was previously held by John Beckmeyer, who served successfully as the Texas GOP’s Executive Director for several years. Beckmeyer worked closely with Chairman Matt Rinaldi as he oversaw business and strategy within the party.
Beckmeyer has moved on from the position to work as City Manager for Odessa, leaving an important vacancy for the Republican Party in Texas.
The Executive Director position is an appointed position, which will be chosen by Party Chairman Matt Rinaldi. The job comes with a hefty salary, along with insider benefits like high-level access to politicians and Party data. So why is Rinaldi considering an establishment-ish figure for Beckmeyer’s replacement?

As reported by The Texas Voice, Brendan Steinhauser runs a political consulting firm along with his wife, who also happens to be running for RNC Committeewoman from Texas (more on that another day). Their consulting firm ran the campaigns for both Dan Crenshaw and John Cornyn. Steinhauser also views Greg Abbott as a viable US Presidential pick.
Steinhauser’s consulting firm was also vehemently anti-Trump.
Steinhauser’s wife was also quoted as saying she would refuse to support Trump over Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Many are wondering why some in the party are sprinting to promote two people who have a long history of working with candidates like Crenshaw and Cornyn. Some are asking if Rinaldi cut a deal with the establishment, as he is rumored to be considering a run for Attorney General to replace Ken Paxton.
We reached out to GOP Chairman Matt Rinaldi for comment. Rinaldi said he was unable to comment on personnel decisions and that there are additional people in consideration for the position. He stated he would have a decision by August 8th.
So very wrong for Rinaldi to consider a campaign consultant — especially an Establishment hand maiden — because such a consultant will partake the RPT data & later depart the RPT gig & use that data to bolster his consulting business. Rinaldi has a duty of loyalty that would be violated if this consultant is hired at the RPT.
Let’s go Brenden.
