The Supreme Court of Texas, at midnight today, ruled that the state can enforce a total ban on abortion.

Per the usual with reporting on legal matters, this characterization is misleading. SCOTX stayed the injunction because under Texas law a civil court sitting in equity cannot enjoin a criminal statute unless it affects property (not personal) rights.
