As much as they're spending on the floaties and the inconstant concertina wire, they're spending tons more on lawyers to defend those accused of smuggling and trespassing. This is turning into a bonanza for under-employed attorneys from all over the state and country as they flock to Texas to try and snaffle some easy cases and money.

Judges? It’s work Gov. Abbott failed to do.

You have no idea he’s in ‘a fiery place’. That certainly is the opposite of biblical. The CONTEXT of the Bible stating “judge not lest ye be judged” is an admonition that nothing about this criminal condemns him any sooner to “a fiery place” than what each of us deserves. On the contrary, this man could easily have accepted the free gift of salvation purchased by the shed blood of Christ that is no more withheld from him than any one of us.

How do you square that with Paul’s writing on importance of the church judging this world in Corinthians 6?

“Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.”

He even says later, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?” Do you consider murder a righteous or unrighteous act?

Who are “the righteous”? Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Tim 3:10

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. You are making my point.

That self corrected to “Tim” rather than “Rom”

You’re making my point. Saints judge by a biblical standard. Leftists constantly employ biblical concepts misconstrued. It is just as wrong to defend concepts that run counter to scripture as it is to assert them at the outset

In multiple places Christians are commanded to judge and make a righteous judgement.

Just because we are all sinners and fall short doesn’t mean we cannot act righteously. How else could Peter or the apostles preform miracles.

You are never given any latitude to proclaim that anyone else deserves hell more than you NOR is destined there. The Bible is explicit that if a man’s sin is your yardstick, then you know you deserve hell as much as any.

Seems like you a very misguided view of Jesus teachings. This is probably largely influenced by secular thinkers and they injected the philosophies of men into the scriptures or a hardcore belief in Sola Scriptura.

I hope you receive light and knowledge from God and can reconcile these things.

Wrong. I posted the scripture above where Paul commands the church to judge the actions in this world.he says even the lowliest church member is capable of pronouncing judgement.

Are you a sinner? Am I a sinner? Do you sin? Do I? The Bible is written for men who sin.

That's what you're focused on? This article passing judgement on a serial murderer who illegally entered the country and killed over 20 grandmothers? 🤦

I think the good Lord will forgive Mr. Rex on this one.

Yeah, you’re a thinly veiled leftist. All Leftists gloat at the calamity of others. Directly in conflict with the scriptures. You’re the reason Democrats get so many votes.

Expand full comment

We can only speculate as to whether or not this man was saved, but I don't see how reporting the horrific crimes this individual caused is equated to gloating. If you don't like news, don't read news articles. It's a leftists prerogative to love and praise criminals, and a conservative's to denounce criminality. You better check yourself.

“News”? That’s stupid. You surely aren’t that stupid. You’re defending exactly what MSNBC and CNN and HuffPo call “news”. “,,,so rest assured Chemirmir is in a very fiery place currently.” Is not news. It is the assumption of one who gloats. You have no idea if that is news or is a condemnable a sin as any other.

Arrogant self righteousness is also a condemnable sin (which you seem to have in droves) and calling other Christians stupid is as well, I believe. Your hypocrisy is showing.

You really should do a deep dive. First, you have no discernible comprehension that all conservatism springs from godliness. Second, you leap directly to “using the Bible” PRECISELY the same way Leftists do. Your fragile comprehension of scripture leaves you exposed as not having any contextual comprehension of the Word or of true conservatism.
