DEM RACE WAR? Crockett Refuses to Back Talarico
DEI doesn't apply to elections
In surprising news, Dallas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett announced she’s unsure if she’ll back Talarico, the Democrat’s nominee to run against AG Ken Paxton for defeated senator John Cornyn’s seat. Instead, she claims to be focused on “down ballot” races. Some Democrat detractors would call her uppity.

Sore loser Rep. Jasmine Crockett has revealed she’s not jumping at the opportunity to stump for Texas Senate primary winner and onetime foe James Talarico — while questioning his support among black voters.
Talarico’s campaign said the winning candidate recently personally phoned the lefty firebrand, who lost to him in the Democratic primary in March, and left a voice message inviting her to give a keynote speech at the party’s upcoming convention.
But Crockett told the Dallas Morning News late last week that she didn’t even listen to the message, ripping it as an “afterthought invite,” and indicated she doesn’t plan to attend the convention.
The retiring lefty Dem added she doesn’t know if she will actively campaign for Talarico at all — and fumed at the party backlash she is already receiving over her stance.
“I have no idea. I am more focused on down-ballot races in general,” she sniffed to the outlet.
The outgoing congresswoman also cast doubt on whether black voters will rally around Talarico.
“I’ve not heard a bunch of kumbaya,” she told the outlet about Talarico’s standing among black voters. “People don’t seem to be convinced at this point.
“But there’s a lot of time between now and November,” she noted.
Granted, Crockett later did come out and say that she opposed Paxton and would never back a Republican, but then said that down ballot races were more important. Apparently, she also won’t attend the Texas Dem convention. It’s possible her strategy is starving the Democrats of Black votes to get her way.
This isn’t the first time Talarico has deal with race-war type issues. Earlier last year, Collin Allred accused Talarico of calling him a “mediocre black man.” It appears Crockett is continuing this pattern.
Crockett lost in the Democrat primary after running a campaign revolving around her diverseness and reputation:
With Texas Republicans still healing from their own circular firing squads, Democrats having similar problems erupt are a potential wild card in deciding our state’s fate.
