In an ironic twist, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) is suing a sprawling alleged illegal alien settlement called “Colony Ridge.” For those unaware, Colony Ridge has gained notoriety for months due to accusations of criminality, poor conditions, and non-enforcement of immigration law. Many call it a “sanctuary slum.”
The DOJ is prosecuting Colony Ridge on accusations of predatory lending involving “discriminately targeting of Hispanic consumers.”
While “muh racism” is grounds for the DOJ’s suit, rather than harboring invaders, it is bizarre that the federal government of all institutions took action before Texas did; we still doubt immigration laws will be enforced by the Feds. If accusations prove true, Colony Ridge really is a nexus of malfeasance, third-world resettlement, and fraudsters.
Despite its allegedly being an illegal alien supercell, the only statewide Texan official taking physical action on this was Attorney General Ken Paxton. Why is the DOJ flexing its might against Colony Ridge before most Texan leaders? Embarrassing.
Oddly, as we covered twice, the Colonia’s slumlord was an Abbott mega-donor. With that in mind, this may “connect some dots.”
Even the Texas House sidestepped doing anything, even after Abbott called it a “top priority” once he started taking heat for it.
Talk about tone-deafness. Even with negative exposure for politicians, and effects on local Texan’s livelihoods, those we counted on failed to deliver speedily and decisively in solving the Colony Ridge question.
Overall, this tweet summarizes what everyone is thinking.
The nuggets that you pull from Texas are relevant throughout the country, is it speculated that cartel money funded this? Is it fully occupied? building more?
I have a friend who's active in the Minnesota Republicans, he said it's like herding cats.
The newer maga folks can't cope with the anti-trump old TV watching Evangelical base, anti-trump is one out of three if not more he said. Anything confrontational is voted down.
Leftism infests Minnesota , yet before the voting process was fixed in 2016 we came close to going for Trump. The Minnesota Republican party hired a bimbo who married a elderly congressman, she then hired a dude who was a sex trafficker, been challenging trying to find talent
What is the difference between ColonyRidge and the housing the feds are planning on building right along the border???
