Enjoy that electricity while you can. It might go away at any time.
AUSTIN (CBSNewsTexas.com) - The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) is asking Texas residents to conserve electricity use to avoid entering "emergency conditions."
Operating reserves are expected to be low for several hours Thursday afternoon and into the evening. Residents are being asked to conserve electricity from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. "if it's safe to do so."
They have issued a “Conservation Appeal.”
Obviously, if asking you to conserve power doesn’t work, they will force you.
They say the reason for the hysteria is “extreme temperatures.” However, it was hotter last week, and the temperatures are not “extreme” in the sense that it gets over 100 degrees every summer.
It’s the idiotic windmills that we now rely on to stay alive.
ERCOT says the lower reserves are due to low wind-power generation, high demand and extreme temperatures.
Wind averages about 25% of our power generation.
How are those windmills doing today?
7.7% at 2:30pm
7.4% at 6:30pm.
Amazing.
About 15 years ago, Texas started doing something called Competitive Renewable Energy Zones. At the time, the Texas Tribune said that people against the windmill plan were just “angry landowners” and implying that they were only against windmills because Obama wanted them.
Imagine if we started with a stated goal of having more than enough power generation capabilities, no matter what. Would we still do all these windmills? No, we wouldn’t.
Despite killing a bunch of people during the ice storm, our grid remains a janky mess. Coal plants are still closing, and windmills are still being built. The government tells us that the science is settled, but these windmills have not cooled the earth and brought about a new ice age, much less stopped the 100-degree days.
Nobody will tell you that the hot weather is because of… you’ll never guess—it’s because of the sun!
We are building windmills for no reason, closing coal plants, and are constantly under threat of blackouts and brownouts in summer and winter.
Who is to blame?
Sadly, launching investigations doesn’t generate electricity, nor do awards from the windmill industry.
The only way we can get rid of Greg Abbott is for the power grid to fail. So we must all now do our part to solve the power crisis once and for all by crashing the grid.
Put your AC at 65 degrees; let’s make it happen.
I oppose wind mills cause they’re ugly. At least coal plants look cool and they have those smoke stacks pumping out the building blocks of life...carbon
BTW-Greg Abbott is a WEF PUPPET...or as my hubby & I would say .. WEF Puppy! Lol! Keep bringing the FACTS, hence Truth! THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL ISSUE! This is an American & World ISSUE!
