Great article! This is why Current Revolt is worth every penny. No other so-called “News source” in Texas provides the kind of information crucial to truly informing voters IMO. Those who crow about Texas being “solidly red” have no idea the threat posed by so-called “Republicans” like these snakes.
This bill is proof that many of our sate lawmakers, on both sides of the aisle, have dismissed the United States Constitution. I have never seen a more blatant proposal to disregard the first amendment.
Secondarily, and more egregious, this bill would restrict anyone who couldn't afford to pay the state $750 from weighing in on the activities of their lawmaker reps. In its current form, I would have to pay $750 to register as a lobbyist if I simply mentioned Charlie Geren in this comment!
