Justin Holland [R] Gives Bizarre Defense of Gun Control Support
He said crying leftists convinced him to give up your rights.
Republican State Representative Justin Holland [HD-33] has come out in defense of his vote to ban 18-20 year olds from purchasing rifles in a committee hearing on HB 2744, a gun control bill from the gun control maniacs.
Holland falsely claims the ban is not a ban, despite the bill putting a ban on firearm purchases for certain people who have committed no crimes. This bill also implies that someone aged 18 can go out and die for their country (or another, like Ukraine), but cannot purchase a rifle here in the State of Texas.
Holland holds an “A rating” from the NRA and Texas State Rifle Associations, according to his statement.
His 2016 campaign site also specifically highlighted his support of the 2nd Amendment.
Holland implies that the crying and emotional manipulation he heard in the bill’s testimony overruled the rights of Americans, and that it is worth taking away people’s rights henceforth and forever because the law “might” deter a criminally insane person from doing terrorism.
Holland, of course, is exempt from his gun ban he seeks to impose on Texans.
Former GOP Vice Chair and current Brazos River Authority Board Director, Cat Parks, also chimed in with her thoughts on Holland’s statement.
Incredibly disappointing for Holland to use a tragedy as an excuse to take away Texans’ rights. Especially seeing as he identifies as a Republican.
Unlike Holland, I believe all women and believe what Cat Parks said is true.
Justin Holland cried at a Frisco Conservative meeting when his leftist friend Samantha and her cat lady cohort was denied entry into a gathering of Conservatives.
To be fair, they were doing her a favor as the NFL Draft was going on at the same time and they were hoping she would enter as a free agent since The Cowboys had a gap to fill in the defensive line.
