An AG Candidate is a Perpetrator of Floydism
The ghost of George Floyd continues to haunt, as a post by an AG candidate about police racism and the “murder” of George Floyd has recently surfaced.
In June 2020, Aaron Reitz, a candidate for Texas Attorney General, posted on Facebook, claiming that George Floyd was murdered by police, that police are racist and treat Black individuals differently than others, and apologizing for being “insensitive to the experiences of Black Americans with racism and law enforcement.”
The post was made in June 2020, about two weeks after George Floyd died while under the influence of fentanyl and detained for allegedly using counterfeit money.
The post by Reitz may have been overlooked after it was reported that he deleted over 4,000 social media posts before his nomination as Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Policy earlier this year.
CBS News reported that posts about George Floyd were among those deleted.
Ahead of his confirmation, at least 4,000 tweets were deleted from his X feed, though it is unclear when the scrubbing took place. The tweets cover a cross-section of hot-button issues, from abortion to the murder of George Floyd to false claims Reitz made about the 2020 election.
Reitz isn’t the only AG candidate who perpetrated Floydism. Chip Roy, the current leading contender for Texas Attorney General, also posted in 2020 about George Floyd.
Although Roy’s post was much less extreme than that of Reitz.
Online influencers, activists, and even Paxton staffers who have been outwardly supportive of Reitz, attacked Roy for his posts about George Floyd.

Democrats Endorse the Darnedest Things
Many people are asking to what extent one Democrat State Rep candidate’s personal feelings could become public policy.
Odus Evbagharu is a Democrat candidate for State Representative in a safely Democrat district, and this week his strong Democrat views were brought to light during his first run for office.
The Democrat candidate’s tweet was first enjoyed and shared by the intrepid publisher of the Texas Voice, Mark McCaig.
Many people are asking to what effect his feelings will guide his legislative priorities.
Among those endorsing Odus’s Democrat feelings to make sure no white girls can ever go back included mostly white Democrat women and Jon Rosenthal.
Odus already finds his campaign in a tough spot, with many people saying the campaign is scrambling to respond to the odd statement. The Democrat’s options are to disavow or issue some kind of statement like “if you like your white girlfriends, you can keep your white girlfriends.”
It’s very yikes, y’all.
Odus headlines his campaign with “Housing costs too much. Healthcare costs too much.” We hope Odus comes to his senses and researches the laws of supply and demand and then supports President Trump in deporting millions of illegal aliens in Texas.
