Republican Congressional Candidate Sued for Stiffing Vendors

First reported by the fine folks at The Texan, former congressional candidate Paul Bondar is being sued by his former campaign vendors for over $140,000 in unpaid invoices.

The Texan:

A candidate who came in third during the March Republican primary for Texas Congressional District 32 (CD) is now being sued by three vendors for allegedly failing to pay them for their contracted services, combined worth over $140,000.

Paul Bondar, who ran for the newly redistricted CD 32 in the Republican primary against eight other candidates, was sued by the political consulting firms Blair Group LLC, Engage Right LLC, and Strategic Perception Inc. on Thursday.

According to one of the vendors suing Bondar, after sending him a routine wire-request for payment, Bondar replied in a text thread that included his wife:

“Amy, you need to stand down…Until then pound sand. You will be handled. Better believe it.”

The vendors are asking for attorney fees, exemplary damages, as well as over $140,000 in unpaid invoices:

Bondar ran in TX32, finishing third with 14% of the vote. Jace Yarbrough is the Republican nominee for TX32.

Current Revolt reached out to Bondar for comment but no response was received in time for publishing.

This is a situation we are actively monitoring.

What happpened was Muslims in Texas wrote “Muslim only” on their party flier and then blamed the public for reading it exactly as written. Now, they are framing the backlash as a sort of “learing” moment and an opportunity to explain to Texans that “Muslims only” actually means “all are welcome.”

🚨ISLAMIFICATION ALERT🚨 Grand Prairie, TX has an indoor water park called Epic Waters (no relation to EPIC city). It is owned by the city & now has a MUSLIM ONLY event on June 1st, with halal food, and a private prayer area. The event is closed to the public- Muslims only.

Top 3 Wacky Quotes from the Muslim’s letter:

“The phrase ‘Muslim only’ was never intended to offend, exclude, or make anyone feel unwelcome.”

Muslims are now using words in completely new and undefinable ways. It is unclear what any of this means. This is a situation we are monitoring.

...the moment I became aware that the flyer was circulating outside of our private community spaces and that some people interpreted the wording differently than intended...

So they blame the public and seem to cite a lack of reading comprehension as the cause.

“The truth is that if families or individuals of other faith backgrounds wished to join us... they would never have been turned away.”

Ah yes, the old ‘jk.’

They’re not just pretending “only” means “everyone,” they are just kidding their way through the accountability part.

We will continue to monitor this situation, the meaning of words, and all other situations.
