I switched from smoking cigarettes to vaping in March 2014. If I had $1 for every time I've been accused on Twitter/X of getting paid to post about vaping, I'd be living in a much bigger house than the one I live in right now.

It's VERY obvious to me (almost immediately, based on the wording of the posts) that these "influencers" posting about vaping didn't do any research before they posted. The only thing they're concerned about is what their bank balance is going to say after the post goes up.

Had they done any research, they'd learn that almost everything vape-related (re: hardware) is manufactured in China. The e-liquids (commonly known as "vape juice") my husband and I use are made in the UK, but the disposable vapes I use (from the same company as my e-liquid) and every piece of vape-related hardware (the non-disposable vape mods) we own were/are manufactured in China.

Their arguments about "flavors being used to hook children" is both old news and pure bullshit. Long-time former smokers need flavored vapes to distance themselves from the taste of burnt tobacco. Hell, I'm 37 and my favorite vape flavor is Lemon Tart. My husband is 45 and he likes Watermelon Ice.

These "influencers" really need to try harder if they're trying to hide being paid to say stuff like the examples in Damin's post. For people like me who have been vaping for a decade, we can smell the money behind them from miles away.

Next session the Texas GOP Caucus will for sure win the jerk-off race in Austin when they nominate Corey DeAngelis as their candidate.
