Here is a rundown of the situations we are monitoring:
Woke Federal Judge ROSENTHAL Totally BLOCKS Abbott and Trump’s Ban on Drag Show at Texas A&M
Democracy apparently means random judges can do anything, no matter how bizarre and unpopular or illegal.
A U.S. district judge has blocked a drag show ban put into place by the Texas A&M University System board of regents, that should allow its annual "Draggieland" event to be held this week.
The following judge says that James Madison had drag shows at agricultural and mechanical schools in mind when he wrote the First Amendment, so it’s impossible to do anything about it.
Judge Rosenthal came to the conclusion that man cannot pass any law to stop this lewd behavior in government buildings because people must technically opt-in to attend the criminal event.
"It is a ticketed event; only those who want to attend do so. Anyone who finds the performance or performers offensive has a simple remedy: don’t go," Rosenthal wrote in her opinion.
Yikes. Let see that judge one more time.
Lawmakers Can’t Decide Which Water Disaster To Fix First
Over the last 20 years, the Texas government has spent billions on complete hoaxes and ridiculous boondoggles while neglecting necessary critical infrastructure investments.
What goes around comes around, and after the government shut down the economy over the virus hoax in 2020, apparently everything we need is going to cost 4 times as much.
Texas lawmakers agree that the answer to the state’s looming water crisis is to invest billions of dollars into fixing the problem. What they don’t agree on, at least for now, is exactly how to spend the money.
Apparently, the water loss from leaking pipes in the Texas water distribution system equals over 50 gallons per household per day. This is many billions of gallons of water lost, and a system that needs hundreds of billions of dollars in investment.
Can you imagine what the inside of those pipes looks like?
Republicans Cody [HD-8] and Charles Perry [SD-28] are trying to fix it.
Perry’s resolution calls for 80% of the money to fund projects to create new water supplies and 20% to repair aging infrastructure. Harris’ resolution does not specify how the money would be split and would leave the structure how it is — letting the Texas Water Development Board decide how to prioritize projects.
Cody Harris wrote a bill that was just a blank check?
It seems like any of us could write blank check bills. At least Chuck seems to have an idea about how to fix if. But only 20% towards fixing aging infrastructure? It seems like there is more to it than just leaky pipes.
Hopefully we can still drink the water next session.
New Democrat Town Hall Footage Shows Stale Jokes, 100% White Crowd
I’m not saying there is anything wrong with a crowd being 100% white. It’s actually the Democrats who say that it’s a problem—that’s why it’s so funny to see their events get whiter with every passing year.
That’s really something. Are Democrats in Tarrant County doing segregation? How else are they even able to organize like this?
Panderer of the Year—White Woman Republican Mayoral Candidate Dresses Up Like Indian
Carol McCutcheon is running for Mayor of Sugar Land, Texas. Apparently she is under the spell of their 90 foot statue.
That’s a yikes from me.
BREAKFAST BOWLS ARE BACK AT THE CAPITOL GRILL
A very big deal for Texas Capitol staff and visitors, the long-requested and controversial breakfast bowls are now being served again at the Capitol Grill.
The Capitol Grill breakfast bowl has been missing since at least 2021:
In December of 2024, a knock-off version of the breakfast bowl was served by the Capitol Grill but lacked the taco shell.
But today, after Texas Capitol staff and much TXLEGE outcry, the breakfast bowls finally returned:
Truly a glorious day.
GOVERNOR ABBOTT COMMENTS ON THE EPIC COMPOUND IN COLLIN COUNTY
Texas Governor Greg Abbott commented last night on the growing concerns surrounding the EPIC compound, seemingly built only for those of the Muslim faith, under construction in Collin County.
We previously covered the story on the Muslim-only community compound. Concerns surrounded messaging on its website that stated they’ll limit sales to only those who are of their faith.
"Exclusive" Muslim Community to Open in Dallas Area
Epic City and Epic Ranches have announced planned communities exclusively for Muslims located northeast of Plano in Lucas, Texas. Many people are saying the way the properties are being sold reminds them of the situation at Colony Ridge.
Regarding these judges in general...
I'd say it's the right's fault for bowing to the issue of judicial supremacy. Since at least 1973 we have feigned hand-wringing over the deeds of the Supreme Court., when they legalized the murder of unborn children, and we acted like they had some authority to do so.
We should have told them to pound sand. We are a nation with 3 branches of government, not 1.
Texans and Trump both should appeal to the Constitution, not the judiciary or the Supreme Court. If they don't like it, they can send their army to enforce it. Wait, they don't have one.
They can take their unconstitutional orders and shove them.
If we don't stop falling for this crap, we will eventually end up like Brazil, run by a 1-man dictator. Or in our case, a 5-man dictatorship
Water towers as far as the eye can see, but not a drop to drink.
