Lake Travis Democrats Violate Election Law?!
Last night, Lake Travis Democrats hosted their monthly meeting at a location where early voting was also taking place.
Many people are alleging that Democrat candidates and officials were giving speeches during the Democrat meeting and that early voters were able to hear candidate speeches from the ballot area.
The Lakeway Mayor issued a public apology for the incident.
Users on Facebook are alleging that the room used for voting and the room reserved by Democrats were only around 40ft apart and that candidates were easily heard when they spoke on microphone.
Current Revolt is reaching out to the Mayor for more information.
Representative Giovani Capriglione Laughs at David Cook
Rep. Giovanni Capriglione is in the thick of it, facing a censure and possible ban from the Republican primary ballot in 2026. He recently met to face with his accusers in the local GOP, and video captured a back-and-forth moment with grassroots activists over their insistence that Capriglione should have supported Rep. David Cook for House Speaker despite Cook not actually being very conservative.
Grassroots activists admitted in the meeting that Cook wasn’t actually conservative, justifying it by saying he was “electable.”
A curious rebuttal considering he lost.
Mfw someone brings up David Cook.
If you want a refresher as to why arguing in favor of David Cook as House Speaker is a losing argument, here’s the tl;dr:
Voted to impeach Ken Paxton
Supported gambling
Promoted COVID vaccines
Promoted mask wearing
Glorified George Floyd
Texas Woman Killed Over Touching Man’s Mercedes
If you thought stabbing someone in the heart over taking your seat was extreme, we hate t inform you that the situation is officially worse.
Police say a man [Ashlee] Long was with "reached out and brushed his hand along the passenger side of a passing Mercedes".
The passenger of that car, later identified by detectives as 34-year-old Kendrick Finch, exited the Mercedes "with a gun in his hand".
The affidavit states a man with Long reached into her purse and pulled out his gun.
That's when police say Finch opened fire, striking both Long and the man she was with.
While the manhunt for the killer was underway, a woman who appears to be Finch’s mother was posting her thoughts on Facebook about another local murder.
To be determined whether a GiveSendGo fundraiser will pull in half a million dollars for Finch.
