Monitoring the Situation (9/24/25)
Odd endorsements, bad outlook for UTD demographics, and Gonzales staffer update.

Odd Endorsements for John Huffman
Former Southlake Mayor, John Huffman, who is running for State Senate District 9, recently put out a list of sponsors/endorsements which happens to include disgraced House Representative Giovanni Capriglione…
As our readers know, Rep. Capriglione was involved in a scandal two months ago where a former exotic dancer alleged she had an affair with him. Rep. Capriglione would later admit to the affair.
The event endorsement list for Huffman also includes 83 individuals whose majority of last names are difficult to pronounce.
We ran the voting records for all 83 people on the endorsement list above. The results are interesting.
38 have voted exclusively in Republican primaries.
3 have voted exclusively in Democrat primaries.
20 have no primary voting history at all. (They only vote in the general)
14 we were unable to locate voting records for despite our best effort.
5 have no voting history at all.
3 are swing voters who vote in both Democrat and Republican primaries.
Current Revolt defines a swing voter as someone who votes in both Republican and Democrat primaries. Here is the voting record for failed Carroll ISD School Board candidate Lynda Warner for example:
Anyway, odd list of endorsements to brag about!
Huffman’s Republican opponent is Leigh Wambsganss (speaking of tough last names) who has obtained the highly coveted Lt. Governor Dan Patrick endorsement.
Full disclosure: We did our best to run the individual voting records for all 83 individuals listed but it’s like reading the membership names of a Costco on a Saturday. You know what I’m talking about. Take this data with a grain of salt. - Ortiz

University of Texas at Dallas Demographics are Looking ROUGH
DataUSA reports that The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) has recently seen a 46% decline in white student enrollment, and today, foreign “non-resident alien” students outnumber white American students by several hundred.
As of 2023, 57% of UTD’s 30,000+ students are either Asian (including Indian) or non-resident aliens, according to enrollment data.
The data from 2023 points to a notable demographic change, in which some groups seem to have replaced others relative to the 2012 figures below.
With the Trump administration focused on making jobs more available for Americans by limiting H1B Visas, it’s possible we could start to see the demographics change in favor of American citizens in the future.
You can check out the data above yourself at DataUSA.IO.
