Democrats are fleeing Texas! If you are a Democrat, you really need to move to a blue state. FleeTexas.com can help you get started.
Republican State Representative Valoree Swanson [HD-150] has introduced HB 1467, a bill that seeks to alter the voting choices in every election in Texas. If passed, the bill would add “None of the above” as a choice voters can select. The bill states the new option will appear after the names of the candidates in each race.
Votes are currently tabulated by precinct, and when a voter fails to select a candidate in a specific race, it shows up in the vote totals for each race as an “undervote.”
Is it possible the rationale behind this bill is that undervotes could be switched with some kind of voter fraud without anybody noticing?
The only other reasonable theory is this bill is 100% a meme.
Texas is trending red. Like, very red. It’s basically raining Republican votes in Texas, and Democrats are cutting bait and moving out! Learn how Democrats are relocating to bluer pastures.
The idea of voting “None of the above” is a meme from the 1985 movie, Brewster’s Millions.
It was a pretty good movie. It had a light baseball theme and was rated PG. Starring Richard Pryor and John Candy, so you know it’s funny.
HB 1467 resurrects the 1985 meme to vote for “None of the above,” and it was introduced just days before the woke remake is set to debut this week on December 5th.
Instead of Richard Pryor, it’s a woman!
It’s set to air on something called Black Entertainment Television. I’m not too familiar with cable TV—I assume you have to be black to access that channel.
What affiliation does Valoree Swanson have with Black Entertainment Television?
It’s a question that many people are asking. Hopefully any connections to BET don’t hurt this bill’s chance of passing. I’m ready to cast my vote!
This is just more bullshit from our elected losers that refuse to get rid of ALL electronic voting in Texas and end Mail-in voting as well. Just another empty, useless ploy to make themselves look good to the ignorant rank & file who don't undervote them out off office.
Will this just be another step towards Ranked Choice Voting which IMO is another voter fraud effort by both sides to cheat American Voters
