The resolution did not relocate the governor's gift in any way. It is there in black-and-white. It stated, "resolved that the SREC directs that 25%...of the INCREASED NET CONVENTION REVENUE generated as a result of the Governor's gift..."

The resolution only allocated a percentage of net profit from increased registrations at the convention, IF such net profit occurred. The resolution in no way changes anything about the governors gift for the convention. His gift would be allocated EXACTLY as it was laid out by him.

Two million primary voters agreed to close the primary. President Trump, the Attorney General of Texas, and the Republican Party Of Texas Chairman have all advocated for closed primaries. The Attorney General of Texas already concurred with us in the legal fight. The only reason this issue persists in court is because the Secretary of State is presently fighting the Republican Party of Texas. My resolution explicitly said that if the legal battle ends by the Secretary of State dropping this fight then no dollars would be allocated from increased net revenue of the convention.
