Shock: DFW Conservative Voter Guide's Top Donor is an ActBlue Democrat
They better rebrand quick.
UPDATE (1/25/24): We have been contacted by JDB Towing, LLC. They informed us that they did not make any contributions to Democrats and this was later confirmed by Transparency USA who has admitted the data we relied on in this article was incorrect. Transparency USA has since updated their site, here's a link to the corrected page, which clearly shows JDB Towing, LLC has never contributed to any Democratic candidates. In addition, the previous Transparency USA website showed that contributions attributed to JDB Towing LLC were made by Amy Witherite and/or her law group The Witherite Law Group. Amy Witherite has confirmed that neither she nor her group have ever made a contribution on behalf of JDB Towing, LLC. We regret the data error by Transparency USA which led us to publishing this story and any confusion or misunderstanding it has caused. We’re happy to set the record straight. Going forward we will avoiding usage of Transparency USA.
Unlike federal campaign finance laws, which combine all the worst ideas about transparency and fighting corruption, Texas campaign finance laws are actually decent.
No limit on campaign contributions means the need to launder money to politicians through elaborate schemes is greatly diminished. This transparency allows for greater numbers of people to research and understand precisely who is funding any particular politician or lobbyist in Texas, giving voters insight into how they will govern.
For example, anyone can look at this list and see that George Soros is the #7 largest donor to Texas elections since 2015. Good luck getting that kind of clarity from our masters in the federal government.
The Texas semiannual campaign finance reports dropped last week, and people following Texas politics are finding out more everyday!
The “Green Card” is perennial political mailer in Tarrant County published by DFW Conservative Voters PAC and ostensibly run by a boomer couple, Stuart and Kathy Lane. The mailer features a list of endorsements down to the most obscure races, and is mailed out to thousands of households every election cycle. The cards do not endorse in federal elections and encorurage voters to bring the card into the voting booth. Reports show they have spent nearly $275k on these postcards since 2015.
Their site, dfwconservativevoters.net, shows their most recent endorsements. Despite doing these endorsement cards since 1998, there is still only 1 photo of the couple on the entire internet, which is obviously from the 1990’s.
Are you legally allowed to use a 30 year-old picture of yourself? I guess you are.
I can’t find a comprehensive history of all their endorsements. Only very recent ones, in fact. I see they endorsed Abbott, which is very unfortunate and very telling.
We were tipped off to look at who’s funding their little scheme. The top donor for the Green Card mailer has been Team Tarrant PAC.
Who funds this PAC?
The top donor is something called Jbd Towing, and it’s split into two for some reason, but it does appear to be the top donor.
When you look at Jdb Towing and how they contribute, it looks like this:
So there you see it’s 1 degree of separation and about 2 mouse clicks to go from “our conservative values” to Act Blue.
Voters who haven’t decided on a race have no clues to a candidate’s political philosophy from the ballot itself. Liberals and Democrats often run as “Republicans” in the Republican primary, regardless of their real political philosophy.”

These conservative gatekeeper-types have endorsed the country down the toilet. Frankly I think I’ve had enough.
How many more paid subs do you need before we get the CR Green Card?
Thank you for exposing these 2 frauds. Now go after the Lynkletter and the GOPe Patriot Mobile goup.
