Outgoing State Representative Frederick Frazier is officially suing a citizen who called him names.
Readers beware: if you repeat any of the claims made in this article, you may find yourself facing a very serious defamation lawsuit. This article is not shareable. Do not attempt to share. This article also contains satire. Please enjoy.
Republican State Representative Frederick Frazier lost by a wide margin in his Republican primary runoff, but court documents obtained by Current Revolt suggest the loss has him determined to stop Paul Chabot from saying things like:
- Frederick Frazier engaged in criminal conduct.
- Frederick Frazier engaged in petty theft when he took his opponent’s campaign signs.
- Frederick Frazier is a dirty cop (or was a dirty cop?).
- Saying Frederick Frazier lied to voters.
- Making a website like www.firefrazier.com.
Here is the full text of the lawsuit, where Frazier’s attorney argues that because “deeply pejorative terms” were used against Frazier while he was an elected official, now someone should pay him hundreds of thousands of dollars:
We previously covered another defamation lawsuit filed by Morgan McComb against Rep. Leach. McComb lost her suit, her lawyer was sanctioned, and now she’s in the hole for over $200,000.
But Frederick Frazier is a winner, and I trust he will prevail in his case. Nobody calls an elected official a liar and gets away with it.
As a matter of fact, I pulled up another quote from someone Frederick Frazier may want to sue next for defaming him with deeply pejorative terms.
Texas Tribune (April 26, 2024):
In December, Frazier pleaded no contest to the two criminal charges, part of a plea agreement stemming from allegations he targeted his primary runoff opponent’s campaign signs over a year ago.
…while accepting Frazier’s no contest plea, [Judge] Pruitt wrote, “Court finds that the evidence and Defendant's plea substantiates the Defendant's guilt of the offense beyond a reasonable doubt as charged in the indictment.”
He has separately pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief.
Will Frazier sue this judge too?
Hopefully.
I have to say—and I say this honestly—I thought I would be uneasy about elected officials suing their opponents in civil court for around a million dollars, but Frazier was left with no choice.
I’m all for freedom of speech, but not when it’s deebly pejorative terms on the internet.
Sticks & Stones may break them bones, but words can pay your campaign losses!
🤡 CLOWN SHOW!!
