Funding For Election Integrity Ending in December?
Election integrity, a top priority in the Republican Party of Texas (RPT) platform, is seemingly taking a back seat according to a letter sent out by RPT Vice-Chair Dana Myers. Via Vice-Chair Dana Myers: Funding for the RPT Election Integrity (EI) program runs out at the end of December.
SHUT IT DOWN: Spring Branch ISD CANCELS Meeting Over Feisty Crowd
The amount of democracy happening in the Wayne F. Schaper Sr. Leadership Center on Monday night was hazardous to the health and safety of those in attendance, leading to Spring Branch ISD’s Police Chief shutting down a scheduled board meeting where citizens were hoping to ask trustees about the recently announced budget shortfall of over $30 million.
Rep. Burgess Not Seeking Reelection
In yet another strange twist in Texas politics, Rep. Michael Burgess announced over Twitter/X he wouldn’t seek reelection. After twenty-two years of representing the North Texas district, it is unknown whether Burgess will seek another office, or retire altogether.
