The 89th Legislative Session has been dominated by scams and Islam, and many people are saying the two seem to be linked in some way.
Current Revolt continues to monitor the situation for weirdness surrounding one particular individual in the Texas House.
Many people are cringing after it was reported that Representative Giovanni Capriglione [R–98] told Rep. Briscoe Cain [R–128] that he was unable to advance his bill to create a state holiday celebrating the overturning of Roe v. Wade because it would be “unfair” to another House Representative (from Pakistan) who is attempting to enshrine several Muslim holidays into state law.
A group of Texas lawmakers is raising alarms after House leadership so far has declined to give a hearing to legislation that would establish June 24 as “Celebration of Life Day,” a holiday marking the reversal of Roe v. Wade.
…
“Chairman Capriglione informed me it was unlikely he would set my bill that celebrates the reversal of Roe v. Wade because it would be unfair if he didn’t set the vice-chairman’s bill celebrating Muslim holidays,” said Cain. “I don’t know why in a Republican-majority Texas House we have to move Democrat bills that advance the agenda of Islam in order to advance the agenda of the pro-life movement.”
(Editor’s note: Giovanni Capriglione and Bryan Slaton served together in the Texas House from 2021-2023)
I guess it’s pretty straightforward. We as conservatives can’t codify our achievement in overturning child sacrifice in our land with a state holiday to send a message to future generations about our stance on abortion because it’s unfair to Islam.
Very cool!

There are now two state representatives serving in the Texas House who are from Pakistan, and they are totally and completely jumping the shark in filing legislation to make Texas a little more like an Islamic republic.
Many Texans are shocked to learn that the first thing foreigners do once they finnagle their way into our government is use the state of Texas to glorify their home countries. However, there are more items on the Pakistani agenda than merely passing “historic” resolutions celebrating all things Pakistan.
Amy Mekelberg of RAIR Foundation USA, put together a list of all the Islamic bills filed in Texas this session, and it is ultra mega weird.
RAIR describes themselves as grassroots activists opposed to a “network of individuals and organizations waging war on Americans, our Constitution, our borders and our Judeo-Christian values.”

It’s worth noting that not only is Giovanni Capriglione teaming up with Representative Salman Bhojani on a number of other scams (AI regulation scam, other weird things to be revealed) but Giovanni Capriglione recently served in the Texas House alongside Bryan Slaton. (If you don’t believe it, look it up)
It’s not merely networks of individuals we need to watch out for, it’s one particular individual!
Capriglione is a powerful, but not influential, member of the current Austin power structure, and he is now in charge of the Doge Committee. After Dustin Burrows “banned Democrat chairs,” he slashed the number of House Committees. There was then an unprecedented emergence of “sub-committees” where the Democrat chair ban did not apply.
For those who don’t know, here is an example of a committee that disappeared and reappeared as “committee on s/c” and had a new Democrat chair.
Capriglione is Chairman of a made-up committee, and after seeing a large number of random bills sent to his committee, it makes you wonder what other scams are slipping by.
Wow! I did not know Capriglione and Slaton were so close.
What other things were they partaking in together?
So we can't celebrate prolife because it would be unfair to people raping children. Got it.
