Why your subscription matters.
What started as a little blog meant to vent frustrations over COVID has turned into a whole damn media outlet where I’m giving commentary on FOX News:
Current Revolt (CR) has been at the forefront of what’s really happening behind the scenes at the Texas Legislature, covering both the good…and the not-so-good.
Current Revolt subscribers (that’s you) get the advantage of staying ahead of major news in Texas. Our readers knew back in September about the scandal surrounding Congressman Tony Gonzales while mainstream media didn’t pick up the story until a month later.
2025 was a big year for CR, and 2026 has already started strong. Current Revolt needs your support to keep doing what we do: exposing bad behavior and nonsense in the TXLege, and holding our elected officials accountable.
I would love for your to support us by upgrading to a paid subscription:

Below are just some of the major stories we’ve broken in the last few years:
2022 - Current Revolt was the first to break the news that Congressman Van Taylor was withdrawing from his runoff race in CD3:
2023 - Current Revolt was the first to break the news that disgraced former Rep. Bryan Slaton had an affair:
2023 - Current Revolt published the audio of late Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee berating her staffers:
2024 - Current Revolt outed school choice evangelist, Corey DeAngelis, for doing gay porn:
2025 - Current Revolt did a sit down interview with the former mistress of Rep. Giovanni Capriglione:
2025 - Current Revolt was the first to publish that a staffer of Congressman Tony Gonzales had committed suicide via self immolation, and that she had an affair with him:
2026 - Current Revolt broke the story of a Republican Staffer who committed a “sexual act” in his boss’s condo:
Current Revolt is able to do all this on the most absurdly lean budget for any news outlet. So lean, you’d wonder if we were depositing Ozempic instead of $ into our bank account
The majority of our funding comes from paid-subscribers. The rest is from a handful of individual donors.
To our readers and subscribers: Thank you for reading and we look forward to continuing to provide you news that you’ll always hear first.
To our existing donors and paid subscribers: Thank you so much for keeping our lights on. I appreciate your support more than I can put in words.
We’ll keep at it.
