Gov Abbott shut down the border once on 9/11 and once several yrs ago. That lasted 3 days and all the big boyrs had meltdowns. As in the developers, the builders, the restauranteurs and the trucking lines, and the big box stores. Then there was Mexico. Texas cannot stand millions more this year. Here's a bit of good news!! 10,000 emails from Texas vets who dropped by the VFW to Gov Abbott , saying criminal charges will be filed against him for aiding human smuggling and drug trafficking were mailed two weeks ago. In addition, supposedly Abbott is about to be sued by parents who lost kids to fentanyl deaths. They plan to hold the state and him personally responsible. Could these actions have pushed him into defending the border and going against BIDEN? Maybe so.
