I wonder if this was an attempt a face-saving move after what happened to him in Rockdale. I also know that Alex Stein and the like have been trolling him pretty hard over the last few months at his rallies, even in the smaller town venues. This leads me to another question...Do you think these 'packed houses' probably should be put into perspective? There were probably 150-200 people in there tops. Mineral Wells has a population of about 16,000 and the whole freaking county of Palo Pinto is ~22K total. Assuming everyone in that room is from that area (and not a bunch of hangers on showing up from nearby DFW), that's 2% of the population attending. Palo Pinto County also voted 81% Republican in 2020.
