Sadly, Phelan like his other globalist counter parts support illegal immigration. The very thought of defending our borders is anathema to them. Truth is, we allow more LEGAL immigration (to our own detriment) than any country in the world. In fact, we should authorize all Texas landowners to defend their land by any means necessary up to and including killing invaders. There should be no inquiry into the deaths of illegal aliens killed on American soil. We should notify the entire world that all trespassers will be shot. If you wish to come here then do so legally. These are simple common sense measures that would solve the problem overnight.
Dade Phelan's continued practice of appointing Democrat Chairs to House committees overrides his rhetoric to news media about securing the border. His planned agenda (from his recent speech) is to pass 2 Democrat sponsored and 2 Republican sponsored bills. PROBLEM: Neither is part of the conservative platform of wish list. He needs to stand up for conservatism and forget his Liberal family history and his Democrat cronies.
I prefer the land mine solution altho a down side would be it would kill migrating animals. An Isreali style border fence is what is needed, Maybe we should hire the Israelis to build it and police it since many of our border agents are compromised.
