Democrats Poised to Use Corpus Christi’s Last Drops of Water
Democrats to “urge conservation” for their state convention.
Texas Democrats issued a press release apologizing for the impact their existence is having on the planet, then confirmed the consumption would proceed as planned.
Democrats ensured the public they would “take steps to “minimize [their] impact” on Corpus Christi’s water supply, a Texas city that is running out of water despite being on the ocean, which has an infinite supply of water for human use via membrane technology invented in the 1960’s.
Keep in mind, Corpus Christi now has a water crisis so bad that Abbott has teased a state takeover to fix the problem, essentially citing negligence as the reason for their water crisis. A popular petition has called for the mayor’s removal.
If the last state Democrat convention is any indicator, while delegates will ignore aquatic guidelines, it’s unlikely they’ll seriously impact Corpus Christi’s water supply. These events tend to be eerily empty; no word on if there’s a furry gathering like at a previous Texas Democrat convention.
While the choice to keep their convention at Corpus Christi might be tone deaf, there could be other factors at play. With past whining about “environmental racism” nagging at those wanting to improve Texan’s water supply, and potentially sabotaging future efforts, this may be Democrats taking a victory lap.
In a nutshell, bureaucracy and DEI Civil Wrongs laws are a reason why Texas can’t have mass-desalinization to fix our water shortages, unlike Israel (90% of Israel’s fresh water is made via desalination.) Other regions around the globe don’t have to worry about water scarcity, despite their climates; why should Texas?
