Democrats Unite Behind Republican Dade Phelan For Speaker, Because Of Course

Strap in and strap on for the next 140 days.

People have a hard time imagining that Austin is more corrupt than Washington DC. It actually is more corrupt, only in a different and more pathetic way.

Republicans in DC were able to muster 20 votes against Kevin McCarthy and the status quo of dismantling the border, the currency, the economy, and making all the kids gay. That’s about about 9% of Republicans in the lower house of Congress.

All the Democrats voted against Kevin McCarthy, because as the Democrat Party platform makes clear, they have a weird race/sex and weather communism agenda that is completely different from Republicans.

Contrast this to Republicans in the Texas State House, where they were only able to muster 3 votes against the status quo of Dade Phelan—a little over 3% of Republicans serving.

Bryan Slaton and Nate Schatzline voted for Tony Tinderholt, and Tinderholt voted for himself. The rest of the body, including 100% of the Democrats, voted for Dade Phelan.

Are we to believe Democrats are the real conservatives? What are the Democrats going to do for us—not leave town again to mock us?

The way this is spun by these high and mighty elected Republicans is bizarre. Even the gay rights groups in Texas support Phelan!

Whatever. Nothing we can do about it now. At least we got a public vote on it.
