UPDATE ON TARAL PATEL
Taral Patel, a former Democrat candidate for Houston-area Fort Bend County Commissioner, finally released an official apology to the community after he was arrested for creating a fake Facebook account using the photo of a local white man to say racist things against himself on the internet.

In the letter, Patel asks for “grace and kindness” after using a real persons photo to stir up racial hatred against whites over fake racist posts which he used to garner sympathy and drive donations to his campaign.
It’s quite disgusting, but at least there is some closure.
He originally faced a felony and Class A misdemeanor, but he took a plea deal that reduced it down to two misdemeanors and 24 months of probation.
You can read our previous coverage of Patel and his wacky web of lies here.
Mayra Flores Announces Run…Again
Former Congresswoman Mayra Flores announced another run for office today, this time for CD28, after two failed runs against Rep. Vicente Gonzalez.
Flores, who is Mexican, previously served as the Congresswoman for CD34 for six months.
However, just hours after her announcement, Flores was hospitalized.
No more official updates are available at this time. We wish Mayra a speedy recovery with this homemade cake.
MAYES MIDDLETON ANNOUNCES RUN FOR TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL
State Senator Mayes Middleton announced his run for Texas Attorney General. Senator Middleton would replace current AG Ken Paxton who is running against John Cornyn.
Middleton has committed $10 million of his own money to his race.
Middleton’s announcement for AG is being well received by many people early on.
Although some came very adamantly against Middleton, citing his opposition to AG Ken Paxton.
Defining campaign races in Texas around “have you ever been mean to Ken Paxton?” has gotten quite exhausting. It isn’t even remotely consistent. Which some have openly admitted:
Well…at least she was honest.
Middleton voted “nay” on all articles of impeachment surrounding Ken Paxton.
It’s hard to take the vote to impeach Ken Paxton as a serious gauge for conservatism when we were all gaslit into believing that this guy—David Cook—who voted to impeach Ken Paxton, promoted COVID vaccines, lockdowns, and glorified George Floyd, was the consensus “conservative” choice for speaker of the house.
The 2023 impeachment centered around yet another Indian individual and Ken Paxton’s kitchen countertops. The fallout continues to be felt in 2025.
