Well, he is staunchly against "vaccine mandates" because he says people should have the right to control their own bodies... unless you happen to be female and capable of becoming pregnant in which case Mr. West is totally against her having control over her own body! These 2 points of view he (and far too many other Republicans) have are completely unreconcilable... ergo, he is a hypocrite sorry to say. You cannot both be for control over your own body and government control over your own body, the 2 beliefs contradict each other. Just saying. We need better than that kind of "leadership"!

The one thing we can agree on, is that better sex education and the proper and consistent use of birth control could render the abortion debate almost moot... almost except, for cases like the Cox woman last week who with her HUSBAND WANTED to have another child but the fetus was found to be non-viable by her doctor but in our ridiculous State of Texas she was told she HAD to carry a non-viable fetus to term whether doing so harmed her or not... and that, ain't right by any measure I can possibly think of. Nobody should be able to interfere with the doctor/patient relationship under any circumstances imho, especially Big Government like Texas AG and Texas Supreme Court! If a doctor says it's the right thing to do for their patient, then anybody who disagrees or attempts to interfere is in the WRONG!

Also I must point out that there is no 100% effective birth control other than spaying or neutering (even vasectomy's for males are not 100% effective, the tubes have been known to grow back to each other and reconnect).... if you got the parts and they are in decently good working order, then you can still start a pregnancy in spite of being as responsible as you can possibly be. Abstinence (before you say it!) is not realistic unfortunately (just ask Sarah Palin's daughter about that!).
One thing I agreed with then President Obama on was that if there were no unwanted pregnancies then there would be no need for medical abortions (beyond cases like Mrs. Cox that's been making the news this past week or so). Rather than continually fighting about whether abortion is baby murder or medical treatment, why can't people agree on doing everything reasonably possibly to prevent unwanted pregnancies to begin with? That would solve so much of the problem right there, don't you agree?
