As usual, you get to the meat of the matter. I remember speaking to a bail bondsman at the time of that legislative push and his telling me what a BAD idea it was. I did not support it based on my conversation with that man. BTW this was also a big push by the Libertarianoids embedded into our GOP. You know they want to save all those dope dealers and dopers. BTW, which prisons do you reference? The ones with murderers in them or the ones indoctrinating our children??? You also forgot to mention that our dysfunctional Legislature reduced the vote fraud penalty from a felony to a misdemeanor and watered down other aspects of election law. Could it be that they suspected Texans may want to pass legislation where voters can sue Election Officials for disenfranchising their votes???

"Bail Reform" was and is a joke! Except for the unfortunate few who are actually innocent but go to jail b/c of circumstantial evidence or b/c they are wrongly framed, those who actually commit heinous crimes should be incarcerated without possibility of bail. They didn't give their victims a chance, so why should they expect any favorable treatment from prosecutors who want to run our country down by allowing these criminals to go free!?! These are those Democrats district attorneys who are ruining our larger cities, causing the crime rate percentage to go up in this great state of Texas! Let's get rid of them and vote them out whenever we have that voting opportunity!
