It’s a depressing situation. I predict everyday of the 88th legislative session to be a shit show. Voters need to be empowered to make a drastic change in voting house reps. All the incumbents need to go except the 6 who stood by Tinderholdt.

THIS. 100%

They voted against US 😡 we go to convention and say “this is what we want” and then they go to session and go “nah, we know better than you and that’s no good for our pocketbook and you’re so stupid you’ll keep re-electing us so yeah no”

so, 78 “republicans” shouldn’t be allowed to run on the Republican ticket next primary, based on the following:

- Dade Phelan is categorically and specifically against one of the Republican Party’s 8 legislative priorities (democrat chairs).

- Dade Phelan (and Coke Hefner) campaigned against that priority during the convention period.

- Hence, any rep who voted for Dade Phelan voted AGAINST the Republican priorities and against the Republican voters.

Sorry (not really, I’m just pointing out I’m not an idiot) my phone doesn’t like to write Hefner’s first name correctly 🤷🏼‍♀️

Coke Hefner is someone I could get behind for speaker. As long as he does coke and then reads current revolt.

Right? Campaign Platform: putting the coke back in Coca-Cola 😂

78 Republicans who don't agree with a large part of the Party Platform, not just the 5 fake legislative priorities, should be tarred, feathered & run out of Austin with extreme prejudice. That you don't comprehend the precipice you are sitting on is , frankly, mind boggling at this juncture in time. In the age of high speed internet highways, ignorance is a choice or you are simply just another fake Republican or migrated from California. ""Outspoken woman, wife, and mother, who refuses to submit to RINO politics.""" It appears you submit quite easily.

some of us who migrated from CA are REAL Republicans wanting to preserve what Texas still has (and CA lost)...... don't paint us all with that liberal brush. The ones that move here on purpose are conservatives - (why would a lib move from CA willingly? Think about it) - The ones who get moved here because their job moved are more likely to be on the left (but some righties still get their jobs moved too). Out of staters who moved here from liberal states (in our doorknocking last election season) were overwhelmingly conservative and moved here because of what a crap-show their states had turned into - it is a huge turnoff to 'migrated' voters to bash them because of their state of origin - heads-up conservative candidates - you need to know that people who move here to Texas on purpose are likely YOUR TRIBE. Don't write them off or rule them out - they can help you at the ballot box.

I tend to agree. It is simply a generalization based on my observations of those I have come into contact with. I might also add that of the few claiming conservatism I have found to be of a more watered down permissive type of conservatism than what I view it as so there you have it. I have spoken to some New Yawkers as well who claim to be conservative and , again, the question of how conservative they really are remains. I live in the most, or what used to be the most, conservative area of Tarrant County which was the MOST conservative County in the nation until we hired the Smartmatic Executive to be our elections administrator.

Anyway Shari, it only takes a few bad apples in the barrel to taint the rest, unfortunately.

Luckily, it seems Rep. Tinderholt is going to take the vote to the floor, meaning at least we'll know names. It's worth mentioning that a lot more than 6 Reps (incumbent and freshmen) ran on a no-Dem-chair platform.

But aren’t going to support it when it counts, apparently.

I am one of the delegates who voted against appointing Democrats to chair committees and, yet, it is very evident that it does not matter to Phelan and his cohorts what "We, the People" of Texas want. It seems they will just do what they want regardless! My own representative, Cole Hefner, was very much trying to talk our people into voting for the Dems even though he knew we are against it! We are fighting every day against the evilness of what the Dems are doing to take our freedoms away, telling us what pronouns we must use, telling us we cannot say "Merry Christmas" and must say "Happy Holidays" so as not to offend anyone. Well, I am offended and most of all, God, my Heavenly Father, is offended above all! We bow down to the "woke" agenda, to the selling of our properties to China, giving our tax dollars to illegal aliens instead of to the needy veterans who fought for our freedoms, allowing illegal drugs to overtake the lives or our young, allowing human trafficking and all that goes with it, and everything else that goes against our Constitution and Godly principles! When will it stop!?! Evidently, we keep electing the Cole Hefners instead of those who run to fight against the wrongs being legislated in Austin! We must get through to our legislators what we want and find a way to make them do what we want to save our country!

Voting the incumbents OUT will require candidates to rise up in each district..... and good people to financially support these candidates because they will not be getting money from the lobbyists and establishment ...... just the reality. So those candidates and potential candidates need to get busy NOW during the 88th session and point out the incumbent's lack of support of Republican values and priorities
